STUCK IN TRAFFIC
Yesterday was just horrendous, for all of us. Ralph worked and we had to pick up Kayla at Baltimore at 6 p.m. We left the house at our usual time around 4:30 p.m. flow of traffic was fine. I got to sneak in a little nap while Kaitlyn got distracted by the movie on the overhead DVD. We thought our trip was just going to be smooth sailing, wrong! Just as we had only 15 minutes to destination we got hit by traffic. Bumper to bumper as far as your eyes could see, we assumed that there must have been an accident. The other side of I95 was closed, we were crawling like worms on the road. When we finally passed the crash site there was still one SUV on its side, debris and broken glasses everywhere. I hope that there was no fatality but it looked bad from where we were. Going home was another story, we got more traffic. We took route 40 but it was still the same. While we were driving I noticed so many motels on the road, its was like mushrooms everywhere. I asked MIL why so many motels and she explained that since route 40 is one of the major highways people who travel look for places to stay. I wonder when we finally do go to Disney if they have orlando motels around. I better ask around from our friends who have been to Orlando if they could recommend a good motel. I'm getting off track here, lol. Back to my story we finally got home around 9:45 p.m. The trip that usually takes us 2 hours ended up to be 5 hours. We were all exhausted and just happy to be home. I hope it never happens again.
