THOSE WERE THE DAYS

I just recently sent a package out to a good friend of mine. The package was all for her kids specially for her little girl Justine. She is 6 months old and is just a cutie pie. Both of her kids have such striking beautiful eyes. Jake the oldest who will be turning 2 next month only got a shirt and a pants while his sister Justine got a lot. Seeing Justine reminds me of when the princess bruiser was that small. I dressed her up with different dresses when she was 3 months old. She got a whole bunch of hand me down clothes from her two cousins that are living in Chicago. That saved us a lot of money since didn't have to buy her that much clothes. I did save a few dresses that are close to my heart. In a way I am still hoping for another little girl. We have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years now and its has not been that easy on me. Remembering the days where the bathroom was my best friend due to throwing up. Taking prenatal vitamins to make sure that the growing baby inside of me was getting the right nutrients. The crazy cravings and mood swing that I had. Thinking about it now brings a smile to my face. I miss being pregnant so much even though I suffered in my first trimester. I do want another child, another human being to nurture, love and drive me insane,lol..

Last Christmas we got to shopping for the kids toys early to avoid the rush. We divided and conquered, Ralph was in charge of Kayla's toys while I was in charge of Kaitlyn's. We intended to go to 3 stores, first stop Target. They had a good selection of toys while we were their and got most of out toy shopping done. While at Target Ralph saw this great electric piano for a bargain price. I was hesitant about getting it for the kids since it looked complicated. My kids are still young and I doubted they would have fun playing it. Boy was I wrong! They got so excited when Ralph finally set it up for them. They danced and sang along with the pianos stored songs and music.

Ralph enjoyed playing it as well and thought about getting some online sheet music for himself. He enjoy playing it while his little princesses dance and sing for him. Daddy not only looked for online sheet music but also for a microphone for our electronic piano. It was then that we discovered what a great price we payed for our electronic piano. It plays good and sounds good as well. How I wished we got two so I could give it to my mom when I go home. She loves playing the piano and already has an organ but I doubt it if it plays as good as the one we have. If she had the one we have I'm sure within 3-6 months she would have learned how to play the piano good with help of some online sheet music. Oh well, she already has an organ anyway. As for my kids, I am crossing my fingers that one of them will learn to play the piano.

STORM AND SNOW

The two recent snow storms that hit the east coast has not only cost a lot of headache but money. There have been news of roof building collapsing due to the snow and ice, tree falling down on houses, sheds and cars, powers are down and cars got either stranded or got into accidents. In Wilmington City near where we live has had two state emergency due to the roads from being so bad. My husband who works as a Police Officer was witness to all the car accidents that happened when the snow storm struck. He was so swamped at work trying to go from one accident to another. It was a good thing though that Ralph took his truck to work and had no problem coming home with a 4 wheel drive. I however was worried about our third car, the jaguar. If he had taken it to work I don't know if it would have survived the snow coming back home. Hopefully those people that were in an accidents from minor fender benders to major accidents have a good auto insurance. As for us we sure got a great auto insurance quotes for all of our 3 cars. With the ways things have been looking up its sure is good to know that we have covered all our bases.

ME AND MY INCOME

As a stay at home mom its sometimes difficult for me to see my husband work so hard to provide for us. My husband has given me the luxury of being able to stay at home and take care of my kids. For me the down side of being a stay at home mom is feeling financially useless, you heard me right. I have access to everything we have but its different when you worked for it. I'm lucky enough to have extra income doing babysitting and also blogging. I know a lot of stay at home mom that also wants to earn extra income from home. There is just a different feeling of satisfaction on the days you get paid, it feels like you have a purpose other than being a mother and a wife. It feels good to be able to buy things for your house that didn't come from your husbands paycheck, to buy toys for your kids from your own pocket and rewarding myself as well.

IN 2 DAYS

Valentines is in two days, have you bought your special someone something? Me personally, I have been in the look out for the right gift for my husband. You see its not just Valentines day on Feb 14 but its also our 3rd year wedding anniversary. For the past 2 years I have not gotten Ralph anything since Kaitlyn is his anniversary, birthday, father's day, Christmas gift, lol. For all I know my husband was probably looking online to find the gifts for her. It doesn't really matter what he gives me for our anniversary this year, my trip going back to the Philippines is more than enough for me. We'll probably just have dinner out as a family or just the two of us if my MIL will babysit. The important thing is that you give her/him something meaningful and not just any material things, something that they will truly appreciate. As the saying goes :
